It all begins with a fold. For his first collection, Charles Kaisin draws inspiration from origami, the art of folding he discovered in Japan, which has nurtured his work for many years. A natural encounter with our maison: origami, like jewelry, relies on a precise gesture, mastered and passed down over time. A sheet of paper on one side, gold on the other. In our Charleroi workshop, where every creation has been handcrafted for over 70 years, our artisans have brought these shapes to life with the same exacting standards as those of an origami folder.

“Origami” brings together around fifty pieces (rings, earrings, necklaces, brooches, and cufflinks) where gold folds and unfolds, where shapes interlock and volumes are revealed.

Facets, triangles, and graphic lines play with the light, while diamonds and precious stones catch it like sparkles suspended in a fold. A dove takes flight in the hollow of the ear, a ring opens like a sheet of paper: each piece becomes a small sculpture to be worn. And as in Japan, where a fold always carries an intention, every Origami jewel takes on its true value in what it represents for the person who wears it.
